CBC kids has just updated their website with a bunch of coloring pages, videos, and games based on the Napkin Man series. I designed all of the characters for both seasons of the show, so really fun to see them come to life.
Feel free to check it out HERE
Really excited to announce that a new property I have been developing with Phil Ivanusic from League Productions has been optioned by Radical Sheep in Toronto. You can find out more information about the project on their website here.
I've recently noticed a few press releases for an upcoming Jim Henson series called DOT. It's a pre-school series based on a really cute book written by Randi Zuckerberg (sister of the famed Facebook mogul) which was written as a bridge for kids and parents to understand how to incorporate technology productively throughout their lives. I was lucky enough to of been chosen to direct the pilot demo, and am really proud of the way it turned out.
Looking forward to seeing this come to life from the good folks at Industrial Bros. in the near future.

I'm thrilled to announce that I was honored with the Emerging Talent award at this year's Youth Media Alliance gala in Toronto. I'm extremely flattered with the kindness of those involved, who even went as far as to make a little tribute video on my behalf (available below)
A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to contribute to this, it was truly a special evening. I couldn't be more proud to be a part of this industry.
I'd also be doing my self a disservice if I didn't mention here that Mike Valiquette over at the Canadian Animation Resources also wrote up a really kind note about myself and the event.

Thanks again to everyone involved.
Napkin Man season 1, a series I was heavy involved with developing and producing, is up for a Banff Rockie award for best Pre-school series.

He has also produced various independent work which has been screened at more than 30 animation and comedy festivals worldwide, including a tour with the Spike and Mike's festival of animation. He most recently took home 3 awards for his animated web series "Super Duper Super Hero”, and his self-released interactive story app "I Feel Super" hit #1 in the Books category on iTunes Canada, spending 30 days on the "Best new apps for kids" front page. Mike is currently a creative consultant on his series "Winston Steinburger and Sir Dudley Ding Dong" set to air on Teletoon and ABC Australia.
The Super Duper Super Hero had a great little write up on the Web Series Mag this week.
While it is in French, I'm pasting the Google translated broken English version below:
It feels like a long time (at least ten days) that I did not suggest you to do cartoons on the web. So hop! It's Thursday, it must be good for another twenty hours or a little more and the best way to anesthetize the pain it is to do a little cartoon of two coffee breaks. I've got you and I for all ills. However, today, I have not for everyone because this selection is English.
Let's start with the "classic". Super Duper Super Hero (Geiger Mike) I should even say "the academic" as the graphic draws the vein studios UPA 1960 Even my scripts regain absurd how these cartoons where licensed zeros always won at the end by making us laugh. This is Canadian, there are only four small episodes, but they are real small pearls of happiness. And when you are on the site of this great leader, look in the "web series" tab to see the other cartoon Ghost Country.

My I FEEL SUPER app recently received a wonderful review from Studycat that I am excited to share.
I feel Super is a wonderful story app from developer Mike Geiger.
The first things that will jump out at you are the fantastic graphics. The pages in the story are all very well designed and laid out. The color scheme is also really cool. As you may have guessed from the title, it’s all about feeling super and what makes our hero feel super. On each page there is a simple interactive element and a short sentence with a picture. The things that our super friend does are all great. He hugs trees, plays music and eats up all his vegetables. All these things inspire a super feeling. This app is great for kids. It is beautifully designed and full of positive messages. The interactivity on the pages is simple, and it’s accompanied by cool sound effects. The page with the stars is my personal favourite. If you love I Feel Super as much as I do, you will also love I Feel Brave.
What we liked:
The graphics, simplicity and overall feel.
What we would like to change:
Studycat Rating: 4/4
